Castlemaine Jazz Festival on Queen's Birthday weekend aims to promote the performance and appreciation of jazz in all its forms.

The standard of bands is higher than ever, featuring swing, jazz classics, blues, latin, mainstream and modern jazz bands, funk, even a Gospel Choir; and, because they proved so popular last year, the big bands are back. Something for everyone, and the chance to meet the musos, take a ride on the Jazz Train (toot! toot!), have a yarn with the locals, find out why Castlemaine has a growing reputation as a foodie destination, and generally have a good time.
